Our healing house...

Since last Sunday the 19th, I've been battling a cold... and finally it is on the way out... I literally had aches and pains from my head to my toes... my friggin' eyeballs hurt. Also, I had a fever... what adults you know get fevers? The last time I had a fever it was when I was about 6 or 7 weeks pregnant... a time when you really shouldn't have fevers in terms of fetal development. I had to call a birth defect registry hotline and talk to them about what had happened. Thankfully, because I didn't have a fever for over 24 hours and it didn't stay over 102 degrees I basically had the same chances of having a baby with a neural tube defect as everyone else... great. Makes us wonder though about the whole AFP results and all the testing and the way Ryan was born.

Poor little guy has finally gotten the cold... it has officially made its way through our tiny house. He's got a runny nose and crawls around saying something like 'Hum, hum, hum..." over and over again. I think it's his way of saying "Yum, yum, yum..." which is what we say to him when he is eating so I'm not sure if he's hungry or he's just uncomfortable. He's sleeping now so hopefully he's healing too...
