So much is going on in my humble suburban life... and I just know you are waiting on the edge of your seat to find out more! LOL!
Well, Mother's Day was great... my mom and Phil came up to look for houses in Napa and we had brunch at the Boon Fly Cafe... they have the cutest mini donuts in a super cool pomme frite paper cone holder! Ashleigh was in heaven... I also received some garden clogs, a gardening bag and a pink watering can... very appropriate indeed...
Speaking of gardening, we are on the cusp of having grass in our backyard... YES! The men working on it have been workhorses and are nearing the finish line... it is so great to have a big stretch of flat and straight... great for races with your 3 1/2 year old daughter... I can't wait for the grass... I am tired of the big old muddy pit that it is currently... and I am so thankful we are able to do this...
By rotatilling the yard we have completely upset every frickin' ant hill and now they are advancing... we are on the verge of apocalyptic levels here. I am hoping things will calm down once things are done in the back however if they aren't we might just have to bring in this guy.
Did I mention Ryan got stitches? Yup. Fell off the infamous coffee table. What goes up must come down. A centimeter long gash below his left eyebrow. Disolvable stitches too. He cried... so did I. Didn't faint either... me that is. He just loves to climb things now. The aforementioned coffee table, the kitchen chairs then the kitchen table, the desk chair, our bed and anything in his room or Ashleigh's room. Think of me in your prayers please... Also, he's chatting up a storm... he says not only Dada but Mama now! He tries for Ashleigh but it sort of sounds like A-lee. He kind of says doggie and when you say kitty cat he makes a meow type noise. Definitely says bubble and Elmo. I think he said please and flower. Super clear on Uh-Oh.
That's all for now... I need to get back to the hot chocolate and Curious George... Ashleigh and I are having date night, I guess since Dave is working late and Ryan is dreaming about trips to Everest...
