lyrics.

When I turned 31 I sang the song "Rock and Roll Never Forgets" by Bob Seger aka Jesus (save that for another post as to why I thought he was Jesus as a child)... anyway, you know the line:

So, now sweet sixteen has turned thirty one,
you get to feelin' weary when the work days done.

Yup, that one...

So now... I've got a new song to sing.  "Cherry Bomb" by John Mellencamp:

Seventeen has turned thirty-five
I'm surprised that we're still livin'
If we've done any wrong
I hope that we're forgiven
Got a few kids of my own
And some days I still don't know what to do
I hope that they're not laughing too loud
When they hear me talkin'
Like this to you...

Indeed.  And isn't it funny that my sisters both LOVE Bob Seger (well, they did when I was a kid at least) AND John Mellencamp still.  Good times that rock and roll music.

Me, 35.
