We went to the zoo.

We saw a bear, birds, lions, tigers, monkeys, bats (yuck!), tortoises, otters, leemurs, giraffes, camels, zebras, flamingos, gibbons, chimpanzees, elephants and all the rest.  Ryan's last experience with the zoo was when he was about 3 months old was totally different than this one.  He was absolutely thrilled with it all... Ashleigh just wanted to get to the elephants!  

We rode this skyway dealie that, in theory, looks totally harmless... sit down and gently "fly" above the zoo.  Uh, no.  More like sit down, scooped up, no harness or strap just a bar about 2 feet away and panic the whole time (but don't dare show it to the children) about how damn far away the ground is!  It was really cool but geesh.

We hit the rides at the end of the whole dealie and had a blast.
