Ashleigh's birthday party was great! She is an amazing little girl that just melts your heart... her reaction to all of us singing Happy Birthday was one of the most honest moments in all of my life. She had a wonderful time and won't soon forget what birthdays are all about! And that's all that matters...
My mom stayed with us for about 4 days after the party and it was quite a treat... I truly wish we lived closer... Not only for the fact that when she is gone I miss her but also because she watched Ashleigh when we went to see Paul McCartney Wednesday night!
So, I now have cried at concerts twice in my life...
- Wednesday when Sir Paul played 'Hey Jude'... an absolutely surreal moment...
- And, embarassingly, when Bon Jovi played 'Wanted Dead or Alive' when I was 19... ;)
Well, we're off to Southern California tonight to give thanks with our family... wish us luck!
