In our neighborhood...

On Monday driving to preschool I noticed that a funeral home which I drive by all the time had a large amount of activity at it.  The entire right lane was closed on the street and there were all sorts of motorcycles and military flags... my first thought was that an old veteran had passed on.  Later as I came back to pick Ashleigh up from preschool I noticed that the crowd I saw earlier that morning had at least tripled at the little funeral home and the entire group gathered to remember a loved one was outside waiting... as I glanced over I noticed a lot more military uniforms than before... and it turns out that funeral was for a young man who died in Afghanistan and he lived right here in Concord.  Right... here... in... Concord.  Godspeed soldier... we pray for the troops everyday...
