Kindergarten blues...

So today I was asked to pick up our neighbor's child from kindergarten as she had an appointment... Totally surreal... Ryan and I got there about 10 minutes early since I so did not want to be late! Watching the children being shuttled off to lunch, running, pushing, and laughing, singing... yup, good times.

There's a separate area for kindergarten so Ryan and I walked over and waited with the others... sigh. Gosh, they are so big... It was really cute when the children came out wearing fire fighter helmets. Apparently one visited today. The little boy gave Ashleigh & Ryan stickers from the fireman... very sweet. As I was getting Ryan and our neighbor into the truck another little boy called out to our neighbor... with a "'Sup?" Huh? How old is he? Yo.

By the way, since when did kindergarten teachers get so young? My neighbor said the one teacher is quite good looking... well, I don't know about that but she is super tall... she was drinking a Starbucks coffee though. That I didn't expect but I can't fault her for it, in fact, I'd recommend it.

Anyway, it's a cute little school in a great little neighborhood. I can't wait until we're a part of it... although I can wait, maybe, just a bit longer and linger over the good times of preschool... plus on the first day Ashleigh goes to kindergarten I will be a puddle of mush sitting on the curb sobbing uncontrollably with a bottle of some hard liquor wondering where did my baby go. Oh you know it's true.

I'll be feeling a bit like this:

Or perhaps like this:

Good times.
